Edia Emamyar
Hi, my name is Edia Emamyar. I work with a diverse population of individuals navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, and other mental health concerns. My clinical interests include fostering self-awareness, strengthening boundaries, exploring cultural identity, and addressing the lasting impact of early childhood experiences and trauma. I recognize that reaching out for support can be one of the most difficult steps in the healing process, and I view the decision to seek therapy as an act of courage and self-compassion. I use an integrated therapeutic approach, blending trauma-informed Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and somatic psychotherapy. My approach is grounded in creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients can openly explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I work alongside clients to better understand their challenges, identify meaningful goals, and develop strategies that align with their unique needs and values.

I am a psychotherapist who works with children, adolescents, and adults navigating life’s challenges, transitions, and periods of growth. I believe that each person’s experiences, strengths, and needs are unique and I passionately strive to support individual development through the exploration of ones thoughts, emotions, and goals. My approach is client- centred and individually tailored, drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Strengths-based practices, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Neuro- Informed perspectives. I work collaboratively with clients to build self-awareness, develop practical coping strategies, and foster resilience while recognizing and building upon their existing strengths. I support individuals facing a range of concerns, including anxiety, stress, emotional regulation difficulties, social pressures, trust ruptures, challenges of self worth, life transitions, and overcoming the obstacles that can arise throughout different developmental stages. Whether helping a child build confidence, supporting an adolescent through identity and social challenges, or assisting an adult through change and uncertainty; my goal is to help clients gain insight, strengthen their coping abilities, and move towards a more balanced self to promote the creation of opportunities in life. I believe that meaningful change happens through a strong therapeutic relationship, and I am committed to providing a compassionate, collaborative, and empowering experience that meets each client where they are. Together we will develop a personalized framework to build resilience, navigate change and grow with intention.
